How Does MyVitalz Work?
- Data Communication and Review When patients measure their vitals,
it’s transmitted via Bluetooth from the device to the app. From the app, it is sent to the cloud from where the doctor will access it in his account. There is an algorithm that interprets the reading for the patient when certain values are exceeded. Emails will also be sent to the doctor whenever it is high, inviting him to login and review his patients vitals. The vitals will be displayed graphically for all users and can be searched by week, month or year using filters. - Abnormal Notifications

Steps to Managing High Blood Pressure
- Measure at least three times on different occasions to confirm
- Patient should relax for at least 5 minutes before each measurement
- Identify other risks such as obesity, alcohol, cigarette, redundancy (lack of exercise), Type A personality
- Conduct laboratory and radiology investigations to ascertain metabolic risks and heart conditions
- Provide explanation on all findings and counsel patient on lifestyle -diets, exercise, drugs and need for drug compliance and monitoring
- Encourage first degree relatives to undergo screening . Those who are hypertensive and diabetic are screened; those who are not are also screened.
